Dance Studio

Core Curriculum includes ballet and modern dance enriched by master classes and workshops in other dance forms (tap, jazz, ethnic). Courses of study include dance history, choreography, dance criticism and anatomy/kinesiology. Students will attend live performances and take part in school productions.

Audition Requirments: Groups of 20-25 students will do a brief ballet barre, center and execute a number of modern movement combinations and jumps; emphasis is on body alignment

• correct execution of steps
• coordination
• and musicality

 Proper attire is required: ballet slippers, tights, and leotards, t-shirts for boys.
